Persuading Web 2.0/social media skeptics

As public involvement specialists and other coalition builders expand their use of Web 2.0 engagement and communication tools, they often encounter reluctance or opposition from decision makers in their organizations.  

The opposition usually stems from environmental justice or social equity concerns, as well as a lack of confidence that target stakeholders actually are using a particular type of social media.  

To deal with the latter concern, here is a demographic summary of Web 2.0 users/demographics that may be helpful.
